Crystal was born into a family of twelve children in Kansas City, Missouri. During her teen years, one of her sisters (Darlene) taught her how to make fleece baby blankets, animal baby blankets and embroidered baby blankets that was the beginning of a lifetime of sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting homemade baby blankets! Crystal has three children and six grandchildren. All of them have beautiful homemade personalized baby blankets.
Attending Mount St. Marys University in Maryland, Crystal earned a Masters degree in business administration. She is a widow and enjoys her family and friends. Her love for children and crocheting baby blankets was the impetus for creating this website. Thank you for allowing her to share creatively with you.
Crystal has taught crochet and knitting classes through the years. She taught her Mother-in-law (who was in her 60s at the time), how to crochet baby blankets. Her Mom enjoyed her new hobby so much that she immediately made baby security blankets for all the new babies in the local hospital. The mothers were excited to have received unique baby blankets for their wee ones! Her Mom quickly became quite professional at making baby blankets and gave free crochet patterns for baby blankets for round crochet baby blankets to everyone interested in the craft.

Crocheted baby blankets are 100% acrylic yarn and are machine washable and dryable. Crystal believes that a baby blanket should be pretty to look at and easy to clean. Crocheted baby blankets are treasured gifts for babies at any time - Baby Shower, Christmas, Christening, etc. Many of Crystals friends say, I still have the crocheted baby blanket that she gave me when my daughter was born 30 years ago.

All crocheted baby blankets are high quality and homemade with tender loving care by Crystal, a grandma who has taken pride in her work for many years.

Rates are for shipping within the continental U.S. Blankets are sent Priority Mail via U.S.P.S. delivered in an average of 2-3 business days (NOT weekends or holidays). If you need the baby blanket quickly, it can be shipped overnight via U.S.P.S., UPS or FedEx. Contact Crystal at CrystalsBlankets@aol.com for the additional shipping charge. If you are shipping to Hawaii, Alaska or a Military address, additional shipping costs may be incurred. If your order requires extra shipping, Crystal will contact you by email. International rates will be based on the country address.
Please provide the correct address for shipping your blanket. If an address correction is necessary in order to deliver your package, there could be a correction fee (i.e. UPS, FedEx) and a return shipping cost. You agree to pay this fee if you provide a wrong address or if you change the ship-to address after your package is in transit. Also, this will delay your package getting to you. If a package cannot be delivered due to Crystals error, no additional shipping will apply.

Domestic Shipping Costs are based on sales:
Up to $10 in sales = $5 (one hat or cap)
$10.01 - $70 in sales = $8 (one blanket)
$70+ in sales = $10

Sizes are approximate (average size is 32" - 36" square).

A Border of any color can be added to any blanket.

FAQ

How should I wash and care for my baby blanket?
Crocheted baby blankets are 100% acrylic yarn and are machine washable and dryable.
I recommend washing on a normal to low setting in either cold or cool water and placing in the dryer on a low heat setting. The blanket can also be spread out onto a flat surface to dry. DO NOT HANG BLANKET TO DRY. If you feel it is necessary to iron your blanket, use a low setting.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Please allow 2-3 business days for Crystal to ship your order. Business days do not include weekends or holidays. Email Crystal if you need a rush order she will do her best to accommodate your needs.

What shipping method is used?
U.S.P.S. is the most cost effective way to ship Crystals baby blankets. If you need the baby blanket quickly, it can be shipped overnight via U.S.P.S., UPS or FedEx. Contact Crystal via email for the additional shipping charge.
Orders are processed daily. As soon as your order is processed, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email. If there is any delay in processing your order, you will be immediately notified.

Can I have my baby blanket embroidered?
Yes, I am able to embroider. However, the letters for the names or initials are crocheted by hand (not on a sewing machine).

What is your return policy?
You will receive the baby blanket pictured on the website. Dimensions are listed with the photo of the blanket. Color shades of yarn may vary. There is no guarantee in color shades. If you are not satisfied with your blanket, contact Crystal within 14 days (2 weeks) at CrystalsBlankets@aol.com or snail mail her at Crystals Baby Blankets, P. O. Box 95, Walkersville, Maryland 21793. Crystal will make the decision about a possible exchange. No refunds on shipping charges back to Crystal (return cost of shipping). Refunds on blankets and exchanges will be considered on an individual basis. All CUSTOM SALES ARE FINAL.
